Trash Anyone

OK, so we, as a family of 8 plus 2 dogs, usually have quite a bit of trash. We have had to replace many cans in the last 6 months because we can't seem to get the good sturdy ones. We are trying yet again and hope to have actually succeeded this time. Anyways! We usually fill up our two cans no problem in a regular time frame for trash pick up. Well, this past weekend we decided to clean rooms, mainly the older two, and what a challenge that was. I think we threw away tons of just trash from their room. Not food type trash but papers. I do believe that our kids have every paper they have written, colored on, been given or seen in their lifetime in their bedrooms. Lets just say that our trash men are definitely earning their keep tomorrow on trash day. I understand that some papers are important but really, how many papers can you have with your name on it and nothing else or drawings you did in first grade (they are now in 8th and 9th). I know that I have been in their rooms and cleaned before but these papers must have been hidden in the black hole that is called their room.

The boys finally have a mattress for the top bunk so James is so excited to sleep on top. Can we say nervous mom. I worry that we will miss a step at one point or decided to see just how far we can jump from the top bunk. James also likes to do head stands so, here's hoping he won't try up on his bed.

We also went through clothes because when you have a full load of dirty clothes and still can't shut your drawers you have too many I think. I dropped off 10 bags to Deseret Industries and am already starting another bag. Doesn't it seem like things multiply, throw away one find two, that kind of thing. And now we have uniforms so it is like having twice the clothes.

I guess it could be worse. We are all healthy and happy, despite my growing items.

Oh gosh! I can remember the days of cleaning rooms like that! I am an adult and I still have some of those black holes that great important yet unnecessary stuff lurks in! haha

Love,
Aunt Becky

Ahh, yes...the double clothes thanks to uniforms. I am battling that monster around here too. I hate to think about it, but I'm sure I should just give away all the boys other clothes since they never wear them anymore anyway.
